At TuNet, our mission is to bridge the gap between students who need help and students who can give it.
Leah's Story
Co-Founder
Our story began with Leah, one of our co-founders, who struggled with executive functioning challenges related to her ADHD and had trouble finding a tutor who truly understood her learning needs.
Traditional tutoring left her feeling frustrated, until she met a high school tutor who connected with her, mentored her with patience, and taught her strategies she still uses today.
Jahaan's Story
Co-Founder
Our other co-founder, Jahaan, faced a different challenge. He worked long hours at a physically demanding minimum-wage job that left him drained and with little time for school or personal growth.
When he began freelance tutoring, he found work that was both sustainable and meaningful, allowing him to make an impact while building valuable skills.
The Birth of TuNet
TuNet was born from these experiences, and is a community-driven platform that empowers students to learn from relatable role models while giving high schoolers meaningful, flexible work that builds confidence, leadership, and purpose.
